Here are answers to a few frequently asked questions concerning what to do when a loved one passes away.

DO YOU HAVE TO BE EMBALMED?

Pennsylvania State Law requires that within 24 hours after the death of a person, that person’s body must be either embalmed, cremated or sealed in a hermetically sealed container.

MUST YOU HAVE AN OUTER CONTAINER OR VAULT IN THE GRAVE?

It is not a law that a vault or outer encasement be placed in the grave. This is strictly a cemetery rule.

DO YOU DO CREMATIONS?

Yes, we offer different type of cremation, ranging from your basic cremation with no service, to a full service cremation.

HOW MUCH DOES A FUNERAL COST?

This depends solely on your choice. What type of funeral you select, including the casket, vault and service you require. We are here to serve you.

DO WE HAVE TO PUT A NOTICE IN THE NEWSPAPER?

No, you can have a private service or a public service and no notices have to be put in the newspaper.

CAN I PRE-ARRANGE A FUNERAL?

Yes, we can assist you in collecting all the vital statistics required and make a list of all your wishes. This would include what type of service you want, traditional funeral or cremation, where it is to be held, cemetery location and merchandise selection.
